Flourish Education are currently recruiting for a Teaching assistant to work in a Primary School located in Brierley Hill. The school are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a child with ASD and Challenging behaviour. Our client is a Primary school who value a supportive staff team who work collaboratively to instil confidence and independence in in learners.
Responsibilities as a 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant, supporting the child with their class work, managing challenging behaviour, minimising disruption to the rest of the class. The school requires a Teaching Assistant who is committed and uses initiative to help where required.
This is a full-time Teaching Assistant role and is to start immediately and is expected to continue until the end of the academic year.
Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role:
- Minimum Level 2 Qualification
- Experience working in primary schools and or nursery settings.
- Knowledge of KS1 curriculum
- Previous experience working with children with SEND
- The ability to contribute to create a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment.
- To be able to work effectively and efficiently alongside the class teacher.
- Empathetic and supportive towards students and staff
