Teaching Assistant

Job Description

We are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work in various Primary Schools in South Birmingham on a day-to-day supply basis. This role would be great for ECTs graduating this summer to gain additional experience and get to know schools in the local area before the beginning of the new academic year.

This Teaching Assistant role involves:

  • Building trusting relationships with the pupils
  • Ensuring the safety of the children in the class
  • Contributing to a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment
  • Working closely with the class teacher.
  • Potentially conduct small group work when needed.

Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role:

  • To hold the minimum of a Level 2 qualification.
  • Good curriculum knowledge of either, Early Years (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1), Key Stage 2 (KS2).
  • Experience working in Nurseries or Primary Schools in the UK.
  • A DBS on the update service or issued in the last 12 months.
  • A minimum of 2 excellent references.
